Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers is the winner of the Maurice Podoloff Trophy as the 2007-08 NBA Most Valuable Player presented by Kia Motors, the NBA announced today. The 11-year NBA veteran totaled 1,105 points, including 82 first place votes, from a panel of 126 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada. Players were awarded 10 points for each first-place vote, seven points for each second-place vote, five for third, three for fourth and one for each fifth-place vote.

This week in Austrian news a man named Josef Fritzl was charged with keeping his daughtercaptive in a cellar for 24 year. Police say that he signed a paper admitting to what he did and he could face up to 15 years in prison.

Sean Bell Case

After leaving a night club in New York City Sean Bell was gunned down. Later, investergates say he was unarmed.The defense claims that undercover officer Gescard Isnora, who was posing as a club patron, thought a gunfight involving Bell and his friends was brewing when he confronted them as they entered Bell’s car and identified himself as an officer. He and the other officers opened fire after Bell violently pulled away and crashed into an unmarked police van.The three detectives are charged with manslaughter, assault and reckless endangerment. They opted to have a judge decide their case instead of a jury; state Supreme Court Justice Arthur Cooperman plans to deliver the verdict Friday.

This past friday was my senior prom it wasnt how i wanted or thought it would be. It was cool though cause i got to see a lot of people but i had fun after it went on for a while.

Water Fight

Today, in the last day of senior week. During, lunch all the seniors go down to the football field for the senior picnic. At the same time we get to have a water fights with water guns and balloons.This the first year I get to participate with getting in troble for it so its going to be more fun.

Senior Week

Today, is the second day of senior week yesterday was professionalday we got to dress up like a teacher and be that teacher of the day. Today, all the seniors are going bowling at Madison bowling lanes I didn’t go because I have a track meet today and my last teacher told us that if we ride the school bus. We need to call a ride to pick us up after we come back and then she said we should be back around 2:45 and our coach is making us leave before that and I didn’t wanna miss my track meet.

My f avrite football player is Bob Sanders he plays for the Colts. In college recorded 348 tackles in his career at Iowa and became a fan favorite due to his heavy hits and relentless play. He graduated from Iowa in 2003, majoring in African-American World Studies and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2nd round of the 2004 NFL Draft with the 44th overall pick. Sanders is the only second-round draft pick in NFL history to be the last player to sign following the NFL Draft.On January 7, 2008, Sanders was named AP Defensive Player of the Year for the 2007 NFL season, the first Colt to earn the award.

To Run Or Not?

Last, friday we had a track meet it was rained out so they moved it to the next monday. When I went to work saturday I seen that i was on the shedule for monday and tuesday. On both of those days we had track meets. The on today is what im really worried about because it would show us if we could compete at state or not. Its going to be alot of school there even the team who won state last year.
